You might have seen the Best Places to Work in Kentucky logo or have heard an organization celebrate their well-deserved distinction, but what exactly is the program about? The Best Places to Work in Kentucky is an annual survey and awards program that recognizes the top employers in the state, celebrating organizations that excel in creating outstanding workplace environments. This is a project of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM) in partnership with Workforce Resource Group.

The program uses a two-part survey system to evaluate companies of like-sizes based on workplace policies, practices, and employee satisfaction. An Employer Assessment is used to capture details about policies and practices while Employee-Feedback Surveys are used to highlight employees’ opinions about their workplace experience. To ensure employee satisfaction and well-being are the central focus of the program, 80 percent of an organization’s score is based on the Employee-Feedback Surveys and only 20 percent of the score is derived from the Employer Assessment. Winners are honored for their commitment to employee well-being, workplace culture, and overall business success, making them some of the most desirable employers in Kentucky!

Your organization will be informed whether it has been recognized as one of Best Places to Work in Kentucky once the surveys are completed. Organizations that earn the distinction will be honored at a special awards event and will be featured in a special publication produced by the Kentucky Chamber.

Eligibility Requirements

To register for the Best Places to Work in Kentucky program, your organization must meet all of the following requirements:

Have at least 15 full-time or part-time, permanent employees working in Kentucky

Have a physical operation in Kentucky

Are publicly or privately held organization

Are a for-profit, not-for-profit, or a government organization

Have been in business for at least one year, at the program registration deadline

Registration and Pricing

The registration deadline for this year’s Best Places to Work in Kentucky program is December 6, 2024. Pricing for registration is determined by the organization’s size and payment method. Additional costs may apply if your organization needs surveys in languages other than English, wants to increase the sample size by ordering more surveys, or would like to withdraw from the program before the registration deadline.
