The Director of our CFO Services Group, Tim Guthrie is a career financial professional with 25 years experience serving client companies and their owners. Tim is known as a trusted advisor to business owners and CEO’s needing hands-on experience in order to address financial and operational challenges they face.
He recently served as the Director of Operations for Systems Design Group, Inc. (SDG), a Lexington, Kentucky based IT services firm. Prior to SDG, he serves as a Financial Planner with D. Scott Neal, Inc, a fee only financial planning and investment advisory firm located in Lexington. In 1990 he founded CFO Services, Inc., selling and delivering interim Chief Financial Officer Services to companies through a network of financial and accounting professionals. This experience has prepared Tim for the unique delivery of client services he offers at HRG. These include planning and development of startup companies, turnaround and workout services for troubled companies, and the analysis of acquisition and investment opportunities for corporate clients and private investors.
He has served as a board member for several business and community organizations that currently include: The Nest-Center for Women Children and Families, Inc., Members Heritage Federal Credit Union, and the Friends of Isaac Murphy Memorial Art Garden, Inc.
Tim received his M.B.A. and B.S. in Business Administration from Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky.
