Nancy Skiba is an accomplished human resource professional with an extensive 35-year background in human resources management in the corporate and manufacturing environments including union, non-union and diverse international sectors. Nancy has vast experience operating in a leadership role aligning HR initiates to support the business strategy. She has a proven track record of leading business partners through workforce development, recruitment and staffing, goal alignment, succession planning, development of long-range labor strategy, compensation and diversity initiatives, employee engagement inventiveness, and performance management processes. Nancy has successfully planned and executed numerous organizational restructurings, including reductions-in-force and the closing of a major manufacturing facility.

Nancy’s HR expertise is in the areas of employee relations, collective bargaining strategy and contract negotiations, employment law, complaint/conflict resolution, employee and manager coaching, communication strategies, organizational development, benefit planning and administration, Affirmative Action, worker’s compensation case management, process quality initiatives, health, safety and environmental compliance.Nancy has conducted training of supervisors and managers in numerous non-union companies on the topic of union awareness and avoidance based on her personal union campaign experience and successful union decertification.Nancy graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama. She maintains the prestigious lifetime certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the National Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She teaches the SHRM Learning System modules on “Employee and Labor Relations” and “Risk Management” for individuals seeking to obtain their human resource certification. She was appointed by the Governor for three (3) terms as a member of the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board.
